Tell the GMC about your sustainable healthcare teaching!

This post is addressed to those working in undergraduate medical education in the UK. Medical schools are currently preparing their reports to the General Medical Council on how they plan to meet the GMC Outcomes for Graduates 2018; the reports are due to be submitted by 31st January 2020.

We have been in discussion with the GMC, and they have said that if they receive really good examples of sustainable healthcare teaching, then they will use these to promote best practice across all medical schools.

So if you have a good example to share, please can you make sure that this is included in your medical school's report, which should be being compiled in the next 2 months by your designated Quality Lead.

Many thanks!

Hi everyone, just to remind you, the GMC is collecting in reports from all UK medical schools this month (January 2020) and it's really important that good practice on sustainable healthcare teaching is included, as this will help to set future benchmarks. Please make sure your medical school's Quality Lead is aware of the good work you are doing!

Best wishes, Frances
