Greener Practice are delighted to invite you to a webinar on the new NICE/SIGN/BTS joint asthma guideline. This long-awaited guideline will be an absolute game changer to hopefully improve the UK's currently poor asthma outcomes and inequity, as well as reducing the environmental impact of the inhalers we prescribe.
The webinar will involve talks from speakers from Greener Practice who have been practicing in this way for some years, including Dr Aarti Bansal who developed the nationally award-winning Greener Practice Asthma Toolkit. We will give our experiences and top tips of how we can put this new guideline into practice, including AIR / MART therapy and getting away from the status quo of SABA prescribing.
Speakers:
-Dr Aarti Bansal - How the new guidelines can help us deliver High Quality and Low Carbon asthma care
-Dr Veena Aggarwal - Experience of a registrar GP practice project to recall high SABA users and improve asthma care
-Dr Caitriona Callan - Using a visual guide to Asthma reviews to guide the consultation
We aim to have all talks finished by 8.30 at the latest, and there will be ample time for Q+A.
This webinar is organised by the Greener Practice Trainee Forum but is suitable for all clinical staff who see asthma patients, with a focus on the GP practice setting.
