Ashford and St. Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust undertook a Green Team Competition in 2017-2018.
The following projects focussed on reduction of wasted blood tests and medication;
- Reduction of routine blood tests
- Medicine waste reduction
- Incontinence pad use minimisation
The following projects focussed on paper reduction and administration tasks to reduce bed blocking;
- Shortened admission booklet
- Shortened care plans
- Training band 5s to complete discharge checklists to reduce bed blocking
