This article takes a main focus on the current climate and the need for more knowledge while in training. Climate change has a detrimental impact on everyone’s health, significantly impacting the health care service. Nurses should be given first hand updates on the climate effects in-order to support and treat those within their care. Factors such as temperatures rising, and poor air quality can effect the health status particularly in vulnerable communities. Nurses report while carrying out their duties they have found a correlation between climate change and deterioration of health. While carrying out interviews with practicing nurses on their views of the climate crisis, it was revealed; nurses want to be educated on climate change while in training to use in practice to tackle the situation and improve the service provided to patients.
