Melissa Cox • 10 January 2025

This project was incorporated by staff at Glaven Ward in Hellesdon Hospital in Norfolk to incorporate green walks into the ward’s weekly activity calendar.  Patients were of an all-male inpatient psychiatric ward.  Walks were facilitated by the therapy team either on- or off-site in green spaces. Outcomes included a sense of normalcy, increased engagement, and better socialisation during and after walks.
