The little known effect of NO2 (Entonox) anesthetic gas on the ozone layer. Normally associated with by-products of industrial revolution and vehicle exhaust , it is now the main contributor to ozone layer destruction. There is a tendency to move away from NO2 use in hospitals and use less ozone-damaging gases, but the progress is slow.
