Did you know that raising animals for food produces large volumes of air pollution? The government's own reports state that "Methane and non-methane volatile organic compounds (VOC) are emitted by agriculture, and livestock are an important source of methane in the UK budget." This World Food Day why not take a deep dive into the issue in this report: https://uk-air.defra.gov.uk/assets/documents/reports/aqeg/2800829_Agricultural_emissions_vfinal2.pdf. Once you feel sufficiently outraged, take action by joining the Plants First Healthcare initiative, working to normalise plant-based foods in healthcare settings. Better for the patients, better for the planet, better for our air quality!
