Brilliant blog Jennifer! I appreciated your reflection that in some settings we are forced to think harder about moving to single-use items due to obvious resource constraints. Whereas a more positive approach would be to make appropriate risk assessments and base supply and practice on these.

I agree with Graham Pike's comment that the variation in practice between settings may often show that we don't have clear practice guidelines. Maybe this is something that can be improved by developing focused guidelines on different IPC topics.
