Our Greener Palliative Care Award scheme continues to develop, inspiring and supporting Palliative Care organisations on their sustainability journey. Following a pilot scheme the criteria for the bronze level are freely available for any organisation to work towards.

It is a 3 step process involving:
- submission of an online form outlining actions taken
- uploading project write up to Centre for Sustainable Healthcare resources hub
- Meeting (online) with our assessment team
Submission details and timeline
The submission window opens on the 9th November at 9am, and closes at 9am on 16th November. During this window online forms will need to be completed and the project write up submitted. Up to 30 sites can be evaluated in this first assessment window. Organisations will need to make sure they have signed up to our palliative care sustainability network so that they receive a message on the 9th November with the link to the submission form. Teams who pass the first two stages will be invited to an online meeting in January, with Award winners announced towards the end of January.

The Greener Palliative Care Award team also looking for new members for their assessment team. This will involve reviewing submissions, a meeting in the week of 23rd November to discuss which submissions will proceed to interviews, and then being part of a panel meeting applications. You'll be fully supported by experienced members of the team. It's a great way to hear directly how other teams are making progress in sustainability, and to work with others interested in this area.
