I found this article provides a positive framing of rational use of healthcare. It proposes proactive approaches to stop ineffective or harmful interventions, and as much celebration of the benefits of doing this as there is of the benefits of bringing in new technologies. It seems to align really well with the principles of sustainable healthcare.
