LAST FEW DAYS AT EARLY BIRD RATE! Register now!
The early bird window for the “Transforming Mental Health and Dementia Provision with the Natural Environment” conference, hosted by Natural England and organised by The Centre for Sustainable Healthcare, will close on 30th September!
We have been shaping up the agenda for this flagship national one-day conference, which will take place on the 10th November 2016, at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London, and are very excited to announce our workshop programme for the day.
This programme is aimed at commissioners of mental health and dementia services, GPs, social care providers, public health or other relevant parts of local authorities, as well as those working in nature-based projects.
The day will focus on how we are going to ensure that everyone in the country has access to natural solutions for mental health and dementia where appropriate for their health, by showcasing best practice in commissioning and scaling up of nature based projects.
Sessions will feature mental health and dementia projects led by:
- MIND and the Wildlife Trusts
- The Mersey Forest, lead partner in the Natural Health Service Consortium
- Growing Support Community Interest Company
- The Land Trust
- RSPB and Dorset AONB, lead partners in the Natural Health Service Weymouth and Portland
- The Forestry Commission
These interactive sessions involving health and natural environment leaders will look in detail at experiences of commissioning and examine critical success factors in increasing the scale of interventions.
The workshop programme will support our already confirmed keynote panel which includes James Cross, Chief Executive Natural England, Gina Radford, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, and Alistair Burns, National Clinical Director for Dementia.
Anyone involved in developing or commissioning mental health and dementia services is strongly advised to attend this conference which is already attracting senior delegates from across the natural environment and health and social care sectors.
