We're delighted to launch Cancer Care Susnet — a new online community dedicated to improving the environmental sustainability and climate resilience of cancer care.
Whether you're a doctor, nurse, allied health professional, clinical scientist, researcher, student, or anyone else with an interest in making cancer care greener, this network is for you. Cancer care spans a huge range of settings, pathways and professional groups, and that's exactly why a broad, multiprofessional community matters — the challenges are shared, and so are the solutions.
What we're here to do
Our aims are straightforward:
- Encourage engagement with sustainability and climate resilience across oncology and the wider cancer workforce
- Build up a bank of case studies that can inspire and guide sustainability projects in cancer care — both in the UK and internationally
- Foster a friendly, inclusive culture of multiprofessional collaboration in this area
In practice, that means sharing interesting resources and publications, hosting online events, and creating a space where members can bring their questions, challenges and — just as importantly — their successes. If you've done something in your service that's worked, we want to hear about it.
Who we are
The network is co-led by a group spanning radiotherapy, systemic oncology, trials, and cancer care allied health professionals — and we're keen to grow a network that's every bit as varied.
Get involved
Have a look at the resources already in the network hub to get a feel for the kind of content we'll be sharing. And if you have something to contribute — a project, a question, a paper worth flagging — please do post about it on here. The more you post, the more useful this community becomes for everyone!
