Sharing this funding announcement in case of interest to members:
A new £1.5 million National Lottery Community Fund project will address London’s mental health and climate crises together through a coalition of nine partner organisations.
The three-year citywide initiative, led by the public mental health partnership Thrive LDN, will help communities create local climate solutions, develop policies that combine mental health and climate action, and build infrastructure for ongoing efforts and lasting impact.
It will focus on engaging Londoners who are disproportionately affected: young people, those experiencing poverty and racialised communities, ensuring solutions are inclusive and improve mental health while building a more environmentally sustainable London for all.
Find out more on Thrive LDN's website here and see our LinkedIn post about it here. Please share with colleagues and friends in your networks who might be interested.
For a deeper dive into the project, come along to the 10th session of Thrive LDN’s Climate & Mental Health Forum (open to all), online on 19th November 11am-12.30pm. You'll be able to connect with our London-wide network of 200+ people interested in climate and mental health, who are exploring how we can collaborate across sectors. Email benjamin.rossington@nhs.net for a meeting invite; we'll share the agenda with attendees about a week beforehand.
