From Carissa Patrone (Project Drawdown- Drawdown Lift)
I'm pleased to share that Drawdown Lift launched our new report, Climate–Poverty Connections: Opportunities for synergistic solutions at the intersection of planetary and human well-being and two-page fact sheet last week; you can download both documents on Project Drawdown's website.

This landmark report provides concrete evidence of how climate solutions can also contribute to meeting development and human well-being needs while boosting prosperity for rural communities in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. The Drawdown Lift Human Well-Being Index, introduced in the report, serves as a framework for assessing 12 health, socioeconomic, and societal dimensions of human well-being and highlights evidence of the nexus between climate mitigation solutions and human well-being. The report summarizes the co-benefits of five groups of a subset of Project Drawdown climate mitigation solutions (28 total solutions) for advancing human well-being in rural areas of low- and middle-income countries. Policymakers, donors, non-governmental organizations, and other decision-makers can use this report to promote the socioeconomic co-benefits of climate solutions, mobilize ambitious solutions, and channel funding to meet climate, development, and human well-being needs while boosting prosperity and equity in places that need it most.
I hope you will find the report useful for your work. You're welcome to share it widely within your organization and with your networks around the world.
All the best,
Carissa Patrone
