We have recently changed over to reusable gowns for surgery after a successful trial. However the orthopaedic team are questioning their use for joint replacement surgery. Our laundry service meets all the requirements for orthopaedic surgery, but there is continued resistance. I know that people have posted on here before, but things may have changed since then. I'm looking for hospitals that have successfully moved over in orthopaedics, can anyone give me the names of hospitals that have done this please so that I can contact them.
Many thanks!
Hi Louise, there is a company called Elis that are hoovering up loads of Trusts as they move to reusable. They will have a long list of centres that perform Ortho surgery in reusable gowns. UK-Surgical.Camberwell@elis.com
