Trendelenburg Patient Safety

I am also not sure how the Pink Pad has become so common. It used to be that straps were used. Some places use a sticky white sheet. I think the pink pad came in for robotic surgery where steeper head down is used but now it seems to be used in laparoscopic cases too. It's a real waste and must cost a lot of money too. I wonder if there's any evidence if patients fall off the table less with the pink pad?
