I’m currently working on a project exploring virtual dysphagia care and its environmental sustainability, particularly within resource-constrained settings.
I wanted to ask whether anyone is aware of any research or even service-level data that looks at the sustainability impact (e.g. reduced travel, resource use or downstream healthcare utilisation) of virtual dysphagia assessment/management?

Hi Jordan it sounds like a great project. Unfortunately I don't know of any similar project but once was looking at doing a project about virtual voice care and there are many pre-made tools on CSH re travel /carbon savings (which is where I guess most of your impact would be). The RCSLT is doing more work about economic case for SLT, there may be some relevant things about resource utilisation there. Good luck - we need more case studies in SLT!
