Jacqueline Gordon

Presentation: Reuse and recycling of equipment in acute and community settings

Lucy, Su Davies and Elke Small will present on recycling therapy equipment in the hospital and community settings, what they have done, learnt and difficulties that have been overcome.  Susanna and Elke will describe their work in recycling disability equipment (destined for UK landfill) through an Equipment Loan Scheme in Romania where such items are generally unobtainable but much needed. Lucy will talk about the processes changed to reuse equipment at the Royal National Orthopedic hospital. There are lessons on reducing, reusing and recycling for anyone who issues equipment.
