This year, Clean Air Day (19 June 2025) will focus on amplifying voices across the health sector to highlight the serious health impacts of air pollution and call for urgent action to clean up our air.
The government has committed to reviewing the UK’s air quality targets, so we have a pivotal opportunity to influence policy and ensure the government sets an ambitious course of action towards clean air, as defined by World Health Organization guidelines.
Global Action Plan and Great Ormond Street Hospital are planning a London Walk & Wheel event from the hospital to Parliament Square to hand in a joint letter to the UK Government. The letter urges the government to set the right level of ambition for action on air pollution and calls for the adoption of World Health Organization air quality guidelines for our health in the UK.
