The CSH DAISY AWARD for Extraordinary Nurses in Sustainable Healthcare:

We are excited to announce we are now accepting nomination stories for the CSH DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses in Sustainable Healthcare. This is a great opportunity to showcase and recognize an extraordinary nurse or midwife at the national level in this very specialized field. 

The Centre for Sustainable Healthcare is a non-profit making organisation supporting healthcare workers to consider, implement and lead sustainable improvements in the field of healthcare.  Promoting sustainable value, the organization provides education, networking opportunities, and free resources to enable sustainable improvements in care provision. CSH is delighted to partner with the DAISY Foundation to utilize its meaningful recognition programme, to acknowledge and showcase the brilliant work nurses and midwives are doing to achieve sustainability healthcare.

 

The CSH DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses in Sustainable Healthcare will be presented to an individual nurse and midwife annually. The selection criteria are based on the joint values of the DAISY Foundation™ and CSH. Recipients of the CSH DAISY Award must meet some or all the criteria outlined below:

• Nurse / Midwife shows courage, enthusiasm, and motivation to implement and promote sustainability in their field
• Nurse / Midwife demonstrates leadership behaviours that inspire others to learn and improve the environmental impact of care
• Nurse / Midwife has implemented quality improvements or change that reduces the environmental impact of care
• Nurse/Midwife can evidence measurable or observable quality improvements on either patient care, staff experience, costs, or social benefits (for example changes that have a benefit to the wider community) that have the potential to reduce the environmental impact of care

Please nominate a nurse or midwife working in sustainable healthcare who meets these criteria today! Nominations are due by end of day on the 1^st of May!
