Does the UK NHS use single use stainless steel or plastic scissors typically in surgery?

Dear All, As above question please if you can help? Similarly, if anyone has any data/reports/papers (I have the Rizan and Ibbotson papers on scissors LCA) on the use/costs/volumes of surgical scissors (both single use and reusable) in the UK NHS, I would be very grateful!

Many thanks

Kind regards

Mel

In the operating theatre reusable scissors are used and sterilised on the trays. However, outside of the operating theatre, on the wards, disposable scissors are widely available.
